with flowers falling from their skin
more water in their eyes
more tremble in their hands
more women in their hearts
on their bodies
more softness in their height
more honesty in their voice
more humility in their eyes.” —Real Men, Nayyirah Waheed (via nayyirahwaheed)
Understand that the little things matter the most.
And mean so much more from your lover than anyone else.
Little treasures that are often overlooked that could make and break someone’s day.
You never know how much you miss these things until these little gems become depleted.
The good morning/good night text, the “I miss you” phone calls, the big cheese grin when you haven’t seen me in what seems like forever, telling me I’m me I’m pretty- even though I may look the same as I did yesterday
Those things… mean so much.
When you’re around I just go weak…
All I wanna know, is it mutual…
Then I never want to leave…
Then I’m ready to run, ready to fall,
Think I’m ready to lose it all…” —
Nothing others do is because of you.
What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream.
When you are immune to the opinions of others,
you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.” —Miguel Ángel Ruiz (via felicefawn)
Be at ease, but don’t get too comfortable.
I don’t put shit past anybody, really.
“The devil was once an angel too.”
I wish some you sub-par species of humans would stop using the term
“I’m human, I make mistakes” to help you sleep at night after graciously fucking someone over or hurting them.
That’s a cop out, a cowardly one at that, to avoid taking responsibility for your actions and the consequences of said actions.
You can’t be serious to say that to the person you’ve hurt and expect them to eat that shit covered in honey.
Will you understand that they are indeed human too when they knock you the fuck out or nah?
Be “human” enough to admit your wrong and accept responsibility for your wrong-doing. In fact I can respect the fact that maybe you really didn’t care if you did something wrong by me because you simply just didn’t give a fuck about me nor feelings, and you know what, I can accept that.
That’s okay, that’s understandable. Because that’s the truth.
I’m aware people are capable of making mistakes without the intent of hurting someone. Shit happens, this I know.
When those situations happen though, the person recognized that they indeed caused some damaged and ensue with an apology or some type of action to rectify the situation.
You’re throwing that bullshit in someone’s face because when you were in the midst of throwing them under the bus YOU knew it was wrong and you in fact proceeded to do it regardless.
So yes boo, you are human, a pansy, piece of shit one at that.
There are two people you’ll meet in your life.
One will run a finger down the index of who you are and jump straight to the parts of you that peak their interests.
The other will take his or her time reading through every one of your chapters and maybe fold the corners of you that inspired them the most.
You will meet these two people; it is a given.
It is the third that you’ll never see coming.
That one person who not only finishes your sentences, but keeps the book.

If you feel like you need permission to indulge in vanity, this is it.
You are allowed to think you look beautiful, pretty, handsome, dashing, lovely, what have you.
You are allowed to take tons of selfies.
You are allowed to get lost in your own eyes in the mirror.
You are allowed to strut your stuff.
You are allowed to think you’re a pretty rad person.
You are allowed to love the fuck out of yourself.
I want to cross things off my bucket list that I didn’t even know were on there.
Where they tell me it’s impossible…
Fan the flame and walk on the water,
I got heaven locked up in these bones…
Oh, I feel it when my heart beats,
Every time my heart beats…
I feel it when my heart beats,
Every time my heart beats…” —
